16" Saint bullet weight?

I have a 16" SA Saint (1:8 twist), is there a particular bullet weight or manufacture you are finding more acccurate / running better in your .223 Saints (16") than others?

How about M193 in 55 gr. vs M855 in 62 gr.? Looking to also make a bulk 1000 purchase for surplus also, mainly for HD?

Thanks -

Eric

1:7 or 1:8 can stabilize heavier loads. Like Hans said if you just want accurate range ammo start off with some 55 gr., but I would get some M855 ( 62 gr.) as well. Your gun should be able to handle 70+ gr loads though. You'll have to try a bunch of stuff to see what your particular gun likes.

1:8 will be good from 55-77gr. Just gotta get out there and see what your barrel likes the best. Each barrel has its preferences, you gotta find out which.

And this ^ is concerning best accuracy. For bulk purchases for range or stocking up any respectable brand of 193 or 855 will do.

Some 75gr and heavier perform better with a faster than 8 twist, but there are some up to 85/88 grain that will stabilize in an 8. What @RandomHero posted with the Berger link will only show their bullets. I don't own any SA AR's, but like with @HansGruber and @Bassbob state about ammo for AR's are spot on. Unfortunately there's no perfect answer, only buy a box of different brands with different brand of bullets and weights and have a go.
