What's up fellas, I recently purchased a Kimber 1911 DS Warrior 5" after carrying a XD-M .45 for years. I have been on the hunt for a leather or leather kydex hybrid holster for strong side carry. Preferably styled like the Desantis Invader that I carried my XD-M in just for a little bit of familiarity with the major change in firearm. My question for you guys is, does anyone know if this Kimber will fit in a holster made for a Springfield 1911 double stack? From the pictures it looks like it very well might. The trigger guards look almost identical along with the overall styling of the gun.

Welcome to the forum from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest. I do not own a 1911 double stack, yet, so I can't speak directly to your situation. I do have three 1911 units with 5" barrels, Sig 1911-X, SA Garrison, and 9mm Ronin. They all work in the same hybrid OWB holster. It's not a custom fit but it works well for training with all three. In general, a 1911 is a 1911, with minor variations. I don't want to steer you wrong. You'll just have to decide if "close enough" is really close enough. But I'm sure someone smarter and better looking than I will be here soon to share more wisdom. Thanks for joining us.

Did a Google search ( for images ) , and it would seem the DeSantis Invader is a fairly conventional hybrid IWB , with two attachment points , and rides with a "medium " amount of foreward tilt ?
If that's close , then dozens of the Usual Suspects have something very similar for either IWB or OWB .
For my Personal Druthers , l prefer a Pancake made from dead cow . Everybody makes a version. Two or 3 acquired recently-ish have been made by Gould & Goodrich ( G&G ), and l like them well enough . Also ( mumble, mumble) years ago , the Galco C.O.P. for 1911 was good .
But everyone makes them , with subtle variation , and it's subjective between them .

Blackpoint Tactical kydex with leather wing is my go-to holster. They are very accommodating if you need something non standard. Also try Chuck at On Point Holsters, a friend and veteral owned business. Good luck on your hunt.
