Well top speed of a Hellcat Challenger or Charger is about this depending on which version you got

If it was stock, it had to be a ZL-1. The Hellcat has the horsepower advantage, but it's kind of porky at about 700 pounds heavier than a ZL-1.

All kinds of modifications out there for these new cars also. Change computer programing , change parts , add parts, ETC .... There are cars on our streets making big horsepower numbers these days.

It must have been stolen and taken for a joyride. What a joyride! The article says it was returned to its owner.

I don't know where the ride first started, but it takes a couple of miles to max out at almost 200 mph. I'm surprised traffic was light enough to let them reach that speed unless it was done at night.

There's also the accuracy of the radar gun to consider and the competency of the officer using it. I've heard stories of some officers getting a reading at nearly that amount of speed from a tree.

first of all, those 2 punks are soaking up the fame, and laughing about it.....the news media should never report this, as it makes all others face that challenge.

second, they should have crashed and died. i care less about 2 punks, it's all the innocent people on the roads that will be severely hurt or killed all for the punks fun times.

i say permanently revoke thier drivers licenses, as it is a privilege to drive, not a RIGHT.and if neither has a license..??

then never allow either one to obtain one, all across the USA.
