Umm no! Heat came out in 1995 two years before this bank robbery. If anything you have that backwards.

As mentioned Heat predates the shootout. In the investigation afterwards peolme that new the robbers said they would binge watch the movie Heat.

I worked with an officer who had been there (she later transferred to my agency). She talked about how crazy it was but how they held it together. According to her, they all carried extra mags in their vehicles. That prompted me to carry extra mags. We couldnt carry them on our belt either; but I had 3 spares in my bag that was on the front seat.

My big take away was to make the head my new center mass.

I vividly remember that day like it was yesterday. It was my daughter's second birthday and we lived in Inglewood. Her "birthday party" really was just an excuse to throw a kegger and have a bunch of friends over for a BBQ. We ended up all huddled around the television watching the evening news in utter shock. I didn't know whether I should be cheering for these guys or praying for the cops.
