300 AAC Blackout Flame Thrower - Need Help!

Powders:
VV N110
VV N120
CFE- BLk
IMR 4198
IMR 4227
A1680
H110

Barrel lengths 7.5”, 8.5”, 10.5”

Indoor range, ambient temp about 72 degrees.
 
Yes...1.900” COL, Mild+, cases trimmed to 1.358”. Using SRP, I save the magnum primers for heavier bullets.
 
I can't test for small mag primers, but I have heard that you subtract 1 gr when changing. Most end up being around 38k with close to 98-100% case capacity. H110 gives you more velocity range. V110 and imr4227 would be 2nd choices and that is at case capacity. 1680. v120 and 4198 would need to have heavier bullets. Black is not listed in the powder section. I need more research for that 1.

Sounds about right...normal catch phrase "Drop Starting Load 10% and work up"

Yes, seems that H110 does even appear in load charts until the higher velocities, then continue long after others max out. That said, it was the massive flame ball that started this thread...but likely due to low load.

I didn't well document my previous VV N110 loads other than that they shot and cycled well. I'm guessing there was no vicious fireball as that would surely have entered my notes at some point.
 
I loaded from 110-150gr with no more muzzle energy than 1k and that was my goal. The 150s were at the case capacity with cci450, but haven't had time too test from the 8.5" barrels yet. If I were too post my recipe I wouldn't feel comfortable enough. All were with cci450 + 296, h110, lil' gun and 1680 and ran numbers against quickload( just for comparison not for 100% reliability) and most were 15-25% below max psi.
