30x ...spare mag issue.

I really like my new guns. My 30x and my Titan. The only problem has been finding a spare mag for the 30x. So I did a thing.

I found out that the 8 round 30x mag works in the 3032 Tomcat. Looking at the mag, it has a notch for both pistols.

To me this meant that the dimensions of the two mags were probably identical as to how that seat in the magwell. Outside of the mag catch notch.

Add this to the fact that 10 round Promag 3032 mags are plentiful and cheap (I really appreciate the cheap part), and a project is born.

Mapping the notch, since disassembly is warned against.

Okay, its marked. But my drill press didn't like it. So, dremel time.

It isn't pretty.

But it's functional. I did break out the diamond files an de-bur everything.

So I now have a temporary spare mag, until I can get a factory one or two. Or three.

This is kind of funny. I'm a CZ guy. I have a herd of them from CZ 82's to TS2. When the Shadow 2 Carry came out I had have one. I got a Holosun Optic from my Son for Christmas so I fired a couple hundred rounds and it was ready for carry. Except It only came with two magazines. I searched and searched and saw Out Of Stock so many times I quit. THEN IT STRUCK ME! Will the CZ 75 series magazines work? I have a couple dozen. Yeah they work. The only saving grace was I didn't spend the $50.00 or so for a spare magazine.
