LOL, you didn't hear or try my 125gr .357 reloads I did many years ago, very unpleasant report and would shoot flame about a foot out of the barrel, very cool at night.......I used WIN296, when I seated the bullet, it compressed the charge somewhat, used it in a Ruger Stainless Blackhawk with 6 1/2" barrel, my dad said it looked like a flame thrower......:)

Had a.327 small block in my 1967 Camaro, great engine, loved it.

.327 magnum, not so much. As mentioned great theory, just never lived up to its hype. Just like the. 30 super carry, it went up against 2, at least, well established giants with hundreds of handguns chambered and on the shelves in all manner of prices ranges. Never really stood a big chance.

Hmmm makes me wonder what ever happened to that guy, cannot remember his name, who had the worlds best handgun cartridge right on the brink of making obsolete every cartridge extant. He was here for about a month a year or two ago, anyone else remember him?
 
I've not tried the .327, but like the .32 Magnum. They screwed up when they settled on the pressure standard, which could have easily been higher. I also wish more guns were chambered for the .32 Mag today, Ruger Single Sixes are going for a huge premium because of this. Those are a bit small for me and prefer the .38/.357 Ruger, but the wife loves hers. They easily take shotgun knockdowns with her loads while others shooting .38s or .45s might not.
 
I never got into the .327. I did experiment with the .32 H&R Magnum in a S&W Model 16-4 for a little while. But I prefer the .38 Special and eventually lost interest. I still have the 16-4, but mostly target shoot with it using .32 Long ammo. :rolleyes:
I do have a borderline love affair with the .32 S&W Long. This is a wonderfully accurate little cartridge and a joy to shoot. Hardly more recoil than a .22.
When the arthritis in my wife's hands got to the point where she could no longer stand the recoil of her .38, we came across a 2" S&W Model 30-1 at a gun show. For her it was love at first shot. She could easily handle the recoil and shot it very well. This became her self-defense gun. Yeah, I know, ain't no power house, but its a whole lot better than using harsh language. ;)
I've since added both 3 and 4" Model 31-1s to the pile. I don't shoot these guns a lot, but when I do they put a huge smile on my face. :love:
