They left off the Ruger EC9S. Under $300, can be easily pocket carried, 9mm, shoots accurately and reliably, and does not overly kick.

Hard to beat the Hellcat RDP in my opinion. Of course the bottom line is always what's more comfortable for you.

My son has a Hellcat. Surprisingly comfortable to shoot. I still prefer my Baretta Tomcat. True. It’s not 9mm and only 7 rounds, put hollow points in it and it gets pretty serious. In an emergency situation, seven rounds and a second magazine should be adequate.

Hmm, maybe I like it because it has two of my own firearms - Hellcat and P365XL.

I own 3 of them, and while the Shield Plus does in fact shoot very well…accurately and with less recoil, it has no night sights (I added I Dot sights), the slide isn’t cut for an optic, and the mags aren’t available.

So for me, the Hellcat and P365/P365XL are the practical choices. Mine have HS507K-X2 mounted on them both.

I have 2 from the list. Find myself carrying the 365 the most. That may change as the cooler months approach.
