After the Shooting Review Board has compiled the Evidence, it goes to the Police Commission, or at least if did when I retired in 1994. LAPD Officer zrininMcbride shot a man with a knife 6 times all solid hits agency cleared her civilian oversights said the first 4 shots were justified the last 2 were bit.
Officer McBride is a Geand Master USPSA shootwr and has several videos burning down matches.
Which probably played a part in the civilian review board.
The case which happened in 2020 was just regicide this year as they have went back and forth iver QI and other only in California issues seem to happen

This is a repost of something I posted in February 2025. It's applicable to this discussion as well especially the last paragraph.
I've posted this before but I think it's applicable here.
I'm a firm believer that you should carry whatever you're comfortable carrying.
Having said that. according to the CDC.
In 2021, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S., according to the CDC. That figure includes gun murders and gun suicides,
49,000 in a country of 340 million people? Your odds of being involved in a shooting in America are right up there with winning the lottery.
80% of the murders that are committed in this country involving a firearm are committed by somebody who already has a prior felony conviction. And most of the time they're killing another Criminal( FBI Uniform Crime Report)
According to the Kleck study 90% of Citizen involved self-defense incidents end with no shots fired.
I had a friend who worked as a police officer and then after retirement from the police department as a magistrate in South Carolina.
Across the span of both of his careers he investigated or adjudicated 200 homicides. Of those 200 he stated that ONE of them involved more than eight shots being fired among all parties involved.
According to him the one involved the killer standing over the corpse and emptying his magazine into it.
I have been a witness to (as opposed to a participant in) four shooting incidents in my lifetime. None of them lasted longer than 30 seconds . None of them involved more than 10 rounds being fired. And all four of them by the time I got myself behind some good hard cover it was over.
So given that most of us aren't even going to fire the first shot ever I have to say that there are things way more important than capacity.
I still believe what I posted above but I also want to point out. There is a psychologist named Dr Glenn E Meyer, if any of you participate on The High Road or Pistol Forum he goes by the username GEM.
He is stated numerous times that if those of us who are Second Amendment advocates continue to say things like three shots 3 seconds 3 ft or Advocate that "High Capacity" magazines are for people who can't shoot, the people who are trying to disarm us will use our own words against us. At some point the argument is going to come up that even going to Gun Owners say you don't need more than 10.
So we need to advocate for people being able to carry whatever size they're Magazine they're Comfortable carrying even if it's 100 round drum
All that said I generally carry a glock 19 and two reloads

I have to admit, the Sig won me over from my Trijicon Glock 19/26 because of its size, trigger and sweep down to fire manual safety just like my beloved 1911. I was happy with my red dots until on of my pot stirring range buddies showed up with a green dot. Jerk. You know how much that cost me to switch over? Neither does my wife, so you are out of your mind if you think I will commit it to print!

This right here was well said. Yes I live in one of those states where the governor got drilled on by a reporter (yes 2 faced Pritzker was showing his true colors) about some statistics.
If anyone thinks gun control works then why is Chicago so damn bad? I live over an hour away from Chicago and refuse to go there because of how bad it is.

For those of you that forgot, my Glock 19/26 was a Glock 19 fitted with a Suarez Combat Systems Slide back before factory milling for optics were available that I later cut down to Glock 26 butt dimensions. Yes, I used a band saw and cleaned it up with a file.

And one has to wonder how many of the shootings that DID occur took place in Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, DC, and LA. I’d guess a pretty decent percentage occurred in those Dem ran worker’s pRADISES WHERE THEY HAVE SUCH EFFECTIVE ‘gun control”

In my area the standard M.O. of " professional " carjackers
is 3 or 4 BG , in situations where they aren't suspicious, until they jump out of the stolen getaway vehicle with guns in hand .
At that turn of events , the round count in your gun is kind of moot , it's being outnumbered in a crossfire .
When I run my K frame I generally just run 12 total 6 in the gun and 6 in a 2x2x2 Galco pouch. If I have an auto I might or night not have a reload l. If I fly to Seattle I usually take 20 rounds as I am more probable with having to use my OC tjan a lethal force
Or drive through it!

The next question is How Many Ofc ? ( Not in linked news story , and l didn't read the 41 page court document).
But say two cars of Ofc in the unit . So say 6 Ofc .
When deceased Malfactor whips out gun and starts shooting, each of the Ofc independently reacts to the threat , and they're all shooting back simultaneously, the total rounds ad up quickly .

That's not the pro's M.O.
They strike during * periods of transition * . At the gas pump , while loading & unloading passengers or "stuff" .
Yeah , l hear the people who live in the sticks where there aren't any other moving vehicles within a mile of you at anytime. But in urban and dense suburban areas , at multi pump gas stations w/ attached stores , fancy restraunt zones , big box stores etc , there are always cars moving slowly around you , and 3 or 4 guys riding together to get food on a break or whatever are common . Until they jump out with guns in hand before the getaway vehicle makes a full stop .
( And no there isn't a good response . Unless the baby is in the car seat , or grandma in the back , the goal is to back.away and get out of Dodge without a 3 way gunfight .)
