Well Thanks for that Talyn, that was one of my concerns/questions I asked myself. I'm still wondering why (as far as I've seen), some pictures show the barrel also being serialized when the COG is the serialized part of the firearm.

The Europeans like to serialize just about every part, especially in the past.

At least with a serialized barrel you know it was specific to the main parts of the gun vs. just grabbed out of a parts box.
