A Peek at the Creapeiron Elysien Hatchery

One of the more head-turning debuts seen at the recent IWA Outdoor Classics show in Germany recently came from a new Czech gunmaker who has a story eight years in the making. The Elysien looks very Laugo Alien and CZ75-ish from the get-go, sharing an extremely low bore axis, grip angle, and internal slide rails with those two pistols.

Well that Guns.com article certainly has its head up its Sui Generis. All of that is well and fine but if that gun cost $750 would you buy it. It’s no secret that I like unusual guns, but as a designer that thing really disturbs my sense of creative balance starting with that godawful logo. I like the shape of the barrel very much, but I wish the whole gun showed more of that aesthetic. Instead it looks like something from a B-rate sci fi TV show. Just because you can do a thing, doesn’t mean you should do a thing.

I’ll take the Laugo Alien any day of the week.
