The left leaning Ad Council has a message out in the form of a TV Ad: lock up your guns.
Calling it “family fire” 🙄🙄
Saw it again last night watching a show.
Govt going after gun owners and not the criminals. Again.. responsible firearm ownership is part of owning a gun.
Sponsors are the state of IL and NY. Imagine that.

I’d like to see the Ad Council take the same approach to Drivers Ed because most of the adults from other countries and most states cant drive for 💩 and cause the same amount of deaths, if not more . But I digress

like running out in traffic, in front of a truck.

or jumping off an overpass.

or over dosing on what's in the medicine cabinet....do we lock those up..???


how about warning your kids to STAY OUT of dad's/mom's bedroom....or severe punishment if they don't..????
 
Wonder what the ”Ad Council” thinks of these far Leftists who want assault (their description) weapons bans overturned so they can engage Americans in some type of civil unrest/kill your neighbor who disagrees with you fantasy. Seems to me folk who don’t know the difference between a rifle and an “assault” weapon have no business handling either. Every gun I have, except the one that might be handy, is currently lucked up. Of course a few of my safes are instant access. And, by the way, it didn’t take an “Ad Council” to learn about weapons storage.

Wonder when said “Ad Council” will start advertising the dangers of groups standing in the middle of a highway or roadway with traffic present?”

I guess I can't be a poster child for those people. I have loaded firearms in just about every room in my house. Sitting here at my desk, I have two loaded revolvers laying on the desktop. A short 5 foot roll in my office chair puts me in grabbing distance of one 9mm and one .45, both loaded and in fanny pack holsters. A little 45 degree spin in the same chair puts me in distance of my new suppressed .22s. But I don't have those two loaded. I'm not crazy about .22s for self defense. Oh, and my two German Shepherds, who are loaded with hatred towards strangers in their house.

Growing up there was always a Smith & Wesson 1905 vintage “hand ejector” .32, loaded, in the drawer of the Victrola beside my Grandmother's bed. It had been there since 1921, when my DAD was 5 years old. All her kids knew it, all us grandkids knew it, yet nobody, ever, messed with it. Why? Because you didn’t go into Grandma’s room without her inviting you and you darn sure didn’t go through things when you did. YOU knew any such nonsense would have been dealt with by a judicious application of a razor strop. And you respected your elders, because no actually meant “NO”. It wasn’t up for discussion or arguing, it’s just how it was. Yet somehow all of us grew up safely and became responsible, hard working members of society.
