A U.S. Air Force major was arrested Wednesday for protesting alone on House steps as he called for the immediate impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump.

Maj. Jason Watson was arrested by Capitol Police officers at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time for demonstrating on the House steps without a sitting member of Congress, Capitol Police told Military Times. Watson, an active-duty service member with a military career dating over 20 years, walked halfway up the steps of the House to its chained railing to hold a sign that read “Impeach Convict Remove.”

Watson was first escorted to the bottom of the steps by Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, who then left the area, causing the officers to arrest Watson under 22-1307 Crowding, Obstructing and Incommoding.

Prior to the protest, Watson held a press conference alongside Greene, Denson, constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein, Defenders of Our Republic and About Face Veterans, calling on Trump’s and Vice President JD Vance’s impeachment and removal from office.

Watson is the first-ever active-duty commissioned officer in the military to publicly protest for the impeachment, conviction and removal of Trump and Vance.

To make it worse he did it in uniform. F him. You can have an opinion when youre in the military as long as you keep it to yourself. He would have known that; but either didnt care OR did it because he thought the Dems would protect him. IF he thought the Dems would protect him, then I'll be glad when hes gone; because an Officer that stupid shouldnt be in command of troops

Stupid is as stupid does. He violated articles of the UCMJ. Woke *** little snowflake biotch is going to get what he deserves.

First and foremost, military members and DOD employees may attend peaceful political meetings or rallies only as spectators and cannot appear in uniform. Military members are not permitted to make public political speeches, serve in any official capacity in partisan groups or participate in partisan political campaigns or conventions.

Per DOD Instruction 1325.06, Handling Dissident and Protest Activities Among Members of the Armed Forces, and Air Force Instruction 51-508, Political Activities, Free Speech and Freedom of Assembly of AF Personnel, service members are prohibited from participating in off-base demonstrations under any of the following circumstances: 1) they are on duty; 2) they are in a foreign country; 3) the activities constitute a breach of law and order (for example, local curfew violations, active participation in organizations that advocate or espouse supremacist, extremist or criminal gang doctrine, ideology or causes); 4) where violence is likely to result; and 5) in uniform.

Military members who fail to adhere to these requirements are subject to punishment under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, with a maximum sentence of dishonorable discharge, two years of confinement and total forfeitures of all pay and allowances. Additionally, failure to obey local, state or federal law subjects military members to UCMJ action or civilian criminal liability with follow-on adverse administrative action by the Air Force that could result in a discharge under other than honorable conditions.

BINGO!

I'll be surprised if he actually serves time or gets a Courts Martial. My bet is the War Department will let the civilian court deal with this incident then suggest he find occupation someplace else. They wont want to give him anymore publicity.

THAT being said, sure Id love to see him pay not so much for his insolence but for his stupidity
