What can be done with the primer body and arm ? Due to arm having too much clearance in the body the primer cup is not aligned with body port to pick up a new primer. Nice press, bad primer system.

650 is appealing, but I just have to have a couple of primer arms that have less clearance in this body assembly.

Is there different arms for small and large primers or are you talking about something different? Pics would help

Not sure how they Lyman works if that's the brand it is? I have 2 550's, so not familiar with any other brands on operations.

There’s a smith that redid a bolt extractor for me that will make arm for me.

i haven't seen how they work, so not much help for you. if it were a dillon 550 then i'd be lots of help on adjusting

Lyman dropped the ball on minor details to keep costs down just like any lower end reloading supplier. The press itself it great except for the linkage pins with the eclips, that l upgraded with 1/2 inch bolts and lock nuts. Creedmore sports make a better turret head and detent ball upgrade kit.

Bought a discount body and arm from Lyman a few minutes ago.... the customer rep said it shouldn't be that loose not to pick up a primers.... I asked them to check it on a press to make sure, but I have a feeling I'm gonna get what I already have ! LOL But if I do, I'll have a spare feeder body and still have an arm made for the future.
