Anti-2A DOJ Drops Coal in Knife Rights’ Stocking

I'm not expecting any changes from a POTUS who didn't think due process was important during his first term.

Y'all forget him saying "Take the guns first, go through due process second." in 2018
And the bump stock fiasco ….
He’s definitely not interested at all in the 2A.

That may very well be, but at least he is not actively anti-2A. Ops I said I would try to steer clear of political discussions.
Not yet anyway. If politicians are anything they are predictable.

We are always just one fabricated crisis away from new restrictions or regulations on something.

The Click-bait YouTuber's plus outfits like Firearms News & Ammoland don't seem to disclose (I wonder why?) that the Trump 2.0 DOJ has a Second Amendment Section in the DOJ Civil Rights Division run by Harmeet Dhillon. This is the first time any administration has established a pro-2A section in the DOJ.

From....

Department of Justice (DOJ) official Harmeet Dhillon announced that her agency is unveiling a gun rights-focused section on Monday, promising Americans that "a lot more action" on gun rights enforcement will be taken.

Dhillon, who works as an assistant attorney general for the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, said that her division had started a Second Amendment section this month.

"I'm really excited about this," said Dhillon. "For the first time, the DOJ Civil Rights Division and the DOJ at large will be protecting and advancing our citizens' right to bear arms as part of our civil rights work."

"As Attorney General Pam Bondi has said, the Second Amendment is not a second-class right, and I couldn't agree more with my boss,"
she added.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) established a dedicated Second Amendment Section within its Civil Rights Division in late 2025, tasked with enforcing Second Amendment rights, investigating alleged infringements by state/local law enforcement, filing legal actions (like suits against the Virgin Islands), and promoting lawful gun ownership, marking a significant shift in federal gun policy under the Trump administration.

Headed by figures like Harmeet Dhillon and Acting Chief Andrew Darlington, this section focuses on challenging restrictive permit processes, unreasonable delays, and other state-level restrictions.

Key Functions & Goals:
  • Investigate Infringements: Look into patterns or practices by law enforcement that violate gun rights.
  • Affirmative Litigation: Proactively file lawsuits (e.g., against the Virgin Islands Police Department) to secure gun rights.
  • Coordinate Actions: Work with other DOJ components and file amicus briefs in relevant court cases.
  • Protect Law-Abiding Citizens: Ensure citizens can responsibly possess and carry firearms.
  • Restore Rights: Work on programs, like the §925(c) process, to help restore rights for eligible individuals.
Background:
  • This initiative stems from a February 2025 Executive Order by President Trump, directing the Attorney General to review gun policies, as noted by The Firearm Blog and NSSF.
  • Attorney General Pam Bondi emphasized a strong pro-Second Amendment stance, contrasting with previous administrations.
In essence, the DOJ's Second Amendment Section acts as a dedicated federal unit to actively defend gun owners' rights against perceived state and local overreach, a notable change in federal enforcement priorities, according to sources like the NRA-ILA and Brady United.

For those throwing shade....

Remember...clicks = $$ for some messing with your head.

Remember #2....one of the DNC's themes is..."Blame others for what you're doing."
And remember don't feed the internet
