Its not a true Krink (different top cover and rear sight); but close enuf' for me and uses more common parts, same for mags and 762x39 ammo. It also has a picatinny rail already mounted on the rear trunnion so adding a folding brace will be easy.

Sometimes the enemy weapons are fun

A Honey Badger (or similar) in 300 Blackout would fill a similar role to the Krink but its still longer even when collapsed, plus theres the tendency to want to hang extra shite on it, like lights, lasers, optics unlike the AK....and I got a few shorty ARs

Hahaha I went in 1980 too, yes I remember the M60. It was a great gun UNTIL it wasnt...

MPs operated in three man teams using the old M151 Jeeps (driver, gunner, and team leader). They said the life expectancy of a gunner was 30 seconds once the shooting started, since he was standing in the open on top of the Jeep. The driver had an M16 and the Team Leader a M203. I LOVED the M203 (when we had actual Go To War ammo for it)
I was sworn in on 7/19/73. I remained stateside.

MPs were lucky to have M72 LAWs. I didnt get to shoot anything besides chalk rounds for the M203 until Desert Storm
I fired Laws also they were cool. When ever we got the chance to fire anything my hand went up and I always got picked. Never got to fire a TOW. I can tell you this they didn’t work well in the Desert. I was on the 1st Bright Star Mission that went to Egypt. All 3 channel was there broadcasting live for the live fire exercise we had. Yeah nothing like riding around on the back of a mule loaded down with mortar rounds in an impact area at night to set up Dargon and TOW targets. Unexploded ordnance all over the place. But we didn’t see that until it got Daylight. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

LAWs were cool but my adversary would have been BMPs and T72/80s. I did not want to be forced to **** off a T72 with a LAW. Tankers take offense to you ringing the dinner bell. I figured if a T80 got inside our AO, it was time to move the AO. My biggest weapon was the RADIO, "Red Leg Red Leg I gotta fire mission for you...."

If I were a man of means, I'd like to have a hand-forged M2 (select-fire) version of the Carbine with a properly manufactured folding stock. A 12" barrel would make it amenable to clearing hallways or VietCong tunnels. (God help me, that takes me back to Johnny Semm's tales out of Southeast Asia).

I hope it turns out okay. I'm not certain they are of decent quality.
Thanks, I think Ive heard they were OK, not Arsenal level but service(able) grade

Im really not sure any AK meets western quality. MY standards are 1. that it functions reliably 2. that its MoM (Minute of a Man) at 200 meters 3. If Im good head shots at 50 meters (certainly 25m) Beyond that anything else is a PLUS

At any rate I dont expect to use it much beyond 100m. Not to stir up anyones ire but I think of it as a "magnum" SMG; more powerful than 10mm and 30 Carbine; but less effective (for general use) than a full size rifle and easier to carry/transport
