Anybody own a Military vehicle?

I had a British (Right Hand Drive) Jeep painted desert tan with Desert Rat markings. Almost bought a Deuce and a half but passed because I couldnt get it tagged/insured as an antique.

I had a URAL motorcycle and sidecar which is a copy of the WW2 BMW. After WW2 the Soviets stole the manufacturing plant for the bike. They built in unchanged for years then gave/sold the equipment to the Chinese who continue to build it unchanged to this day. There are after market parts to swop the URAL emblems for WW2 BMW. The early Urals could be had with a MG mount for the sidecar. I got cool looks when my MG34 was mounted.

One of my wants is a British Ferret or a Saladin. When I was Ferret shopping they could be had for $20,000 but being British and having a Rolls Royce engine maintaining wouldnt have been a Jiffy Lube thing.

A pre armored HUMVEE might be cool

my grandparents (dad's side) had 2 armored half tracks that were used for building fence. some time or another someone put shoes (rubber pads) on it for paved roads. well at least on 1 iirc. i plan on buying a few of these

Edit about the shoes

The rubber pads were on the tracks to be more road worthy as not to ruin the pavement.
