Good article. In his position, I think I'd at least look at a "cavalry draw" carry. I can almost guarantee it would be more comfortable.

If he's like me, reaching across his torso might be a problem. That's what I like about cavalry draw/carry--all the comfort of crossdraw, but all the accessibility of regular strong-side carry.
