It's totally friggin' random I swear. I've bought enough guns to get me through a decade worth of subscriptions and i've seen maybe 8 total issues in the last 4-5 years.

I’m not knocking Springfield but is there a way to opt out of receiving it in the mail?
I don’t like receiving in my mailbox when my mail tends to land somewhere up and down my street more frequently than I would like.

Hmmm, I purchased a Hellcat 5 months ago, no magazine yet.

FYI, when you go online to register your gun, towards the bottom is a place to check/sign up for the magazine, also on the mailing label, it gives you your magazine expiration date

When I bought my 1911 Garrison, I registered it and signed up for Armory Life Magazine and did check the box. That was in December 2021. To date I have received exactly 1 magazine. Not 1 year, just 1 magazine. WTF.
