Until I see some tangible action from the DOJ and SCOTUS, I'm not letting my hopes rise. The blue states will continue to strip 2A to the bones and it WILL spread to the red states unless the feds reign in the state level laws. I suspect most will remain status quo and the 2A folks will continue the same struggle until the day we die.

There is no magic pill. It took us over 100 years to get here it will take that long or longer to get back.
 
The ATF puts out a blanket statement, but the reality is very different depending on who’s carrying. There are plenty of responsible CCW folks who train and follow the law, and lumping them all in as “a risk” feels lazy. At the same time, I get that they’re probably looking at worst-case scenarios. Would’ve been better if they framed it as “untrained or careless carrying is a risk” instead of painting with such a broad brush.
 
I've been a civilian federal employee of two different cabinet departments while being a federal employee. I worked in The Department of the Interior and until just recently, The Department of Defense. For the most case, at least in my experience, blue-collar workers were more conservative types. It was the white-collar types (office pukes) that were the left leaning liberal types. ATF and a lot of federal agencies are filled with liberals. Just because agency heads change, doesn't mean you rid it of the established bureaucrats.

In context , the poorly written tweet was referring to ATF Agents participating in the Federal Takeover of DC Metropolitan Police .

DC has a small number of Permits (7k) , and Permit Holders are required to disclose . The probability is all they incountered were criminals illegally carrying .

And anyone who thinks 4 years of Trump is going to result in the ATF changing significantly is high on PCP. As soon as the next anti-gun president is elected, the brace rule and all that other crap is coming back.
