I started my search for a holster for my Mil Spec and the prices were crazy, $100.00 just for the holster and $50.00 for a 4 magazine carrier was the average cost I found. So, I do leather working now and again, searched for a book to tell me about them and found, Design & Construction of the Practical Leather Holster: Pancake Edition by George Canfield for $52.77. I already have the required leather and correct weight only had to order one tool to make both items. Yes, it was a little bit of an outlay of money but now I can make as many as I want and refine them as I see fit and save at least $100.00 each time I make them for myself or others... Now for the construction of said items, wish me Luck...

Should be a fun project. Will it be sewn or rivetted, and if sewn, what equipment does that require?

My go to is Galco Combat Master for my 1911/2011 guns. They just work for me.
I wouldn't have any fingers if I tried to make one. The extent of my leather work was buying some thick leather at Hobby Lobby and cutting it into pieces to use in my vise
