Yes it's me. I have decieded to join again. It has been a few months and have looked at forum once in a while but it was Basscliff's post that made me want to come back. First to Basscliff, I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot start to make you feel better. I am sure your puppy is now in a better place without pain and is happy. It will be waiting for you in heaven. I have gone thru it several times and it does not get ant easier. My dog Maggie has been sick for a while and I think she will be leaving us soon also. I dread the day but I will always do whatever I have to do for her. Again, so sorry for your loss.

When I left the forum I went to work for a friend who asked me to help him out at a small used car dealership. They sell about 40 cars a month. I was standing in for a friend that worked there and had a stroke 2 days before christmas. I really didn't want to do it but he said he really needed the help. The other person working there in sales was the issue. He was a former parole officer for kids for the state of new mexico. He was caught with 10lbs of dope in the trunk of his state vehicle by the border patrol a few years back. After getting a slap on the wrist he had been working several jobs around town but never stayed long at any given place. At first I didn't like it but decided to see what happens. First month I only sold 8 units and wasn't a threat to him but the second month I sold 16 and things started to change. I was being accused of stealing customers from him and everyday there was an issue with this person. I did talk to the owner and he said this was not the first time there had been an issue with him and other sales people. He would take care of it. Well it kept getting worse! The owner didn't want to rock the boat so he really did nothing. I finally had a few words with the felon and told him what would happen to him if he kept acting stupid. At this point I had already decided that I really didn't need the aggravation. I gave the owner my 2 week notice and left the end of June. Owner was upset with me but I told him until he cleaned house I would not come back. Here it is a month later and the felon is still working there and they can't hire anyone to work there because nobody wants to work with him. Who know what will happen.

While working my wife was involved in a collision with her Equinox right in front of the house. She was hit in the rear so hard the vehicle was totaled! Thank god it wasn't the Buick! A month later we got insurance to settle, and believe me when I say USAA is the worst! My insurance company, State Farm had to get involved and it was a mess. Needless to say my wife is now driving the Buick, which she doesn't like, and I am driving a 23 Ford Edge. The first of the year I will purchase her a Ford Explorer.

Other than that I am now retired again. Just had another birthday and getting used to being home again all day. I do have my household chores. The husky has been having some issues and hope she will be getting better soon. It has been an expensive month with her with the vet! Even with doggy health insurance. I don't know how much I will contribute to the forum. I see some new members really do post a lot! I also see a few have left also. I really miss OLDME and his postings. So, glad to be back again. You are really a great bunch of people hear. Respectfully, John

@NMEDGE welcome back. sounds like you've had an interesting few months. too bad about the car dealership. sounds like the owner needs to grow set and fire that other guy.
I hope Maggie does okay and you and your wife enjoy whatever time you have left with her. It's never easy.
There are some new members who fit in just fine. it's too bad that @Old_Me never came back. Glad you're back.

WB, congratulations on your second retirement, sounds like a rough few months.

Retirement seems to be like Lays potato chips, can't have just one. I retired from IT in late 2000, then worked as IT shop floor production and lot control consultant for 10 years, then I retired and drove special needs school bus for over a decade until I retired in 2012, that was three strikes so now I am out for good.

If you end up like me you will have no idea how you ever had the time to go to work each day.

Enjoy...

Welcome back. This place does have a certain draw!
