BAD seller on gunbroker Barrier Defense Marc Irvin BEWARE

On 4/16/26 I purchased an upper on gunbroker from Barrier Defense. I paid him immediately via GB with a credit card. His description says "Normal ship time are 3-5 business days after receiving payment. However, due to current pressure on the industry allow up to 7-10 business days." Im really not sure what "pressure on the industry" is supposed to mean

After seven days it wasnt shipped so I messaged him thru GB. On the 10th day I got a note from Stamps.com with a tracking number BUT that tracking number was canceled. I messaged him again and he said he canceled it because it was the wrong shipping. I asked what THAT meant and he said he would send someone to the post office in a day or two. A week later I got notified that the package would be delivered today.

When the package arrived it was the WRONG item. I had ordered a 9mm AR upper. The picture in the auction showed a slick side (no forward assist and no dust cover). What arrived was a standard AR uppper
I messaged him and called the phone number listed. I also texted the number. NO RESPOSE

I left poor feed back but thats not enough. Tomorrow Im filling a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau and contacting the Postal Inspector as this is mail fraud (he manipulated stamps.com to make it look like it had been sent) I may contact the PD local to him about the fraud but I suspect they will say its a Postal complaint

My final message to him was that I wanted what I had purchased and when that arrived (with pre-paid return postage I would return the wrong item)
 
Seems like you should be able to file a claim with your credit card company . That you Did not receive item ordered. You will need documentation of what you ordered and pictures and documentation of what he sent. The bank will freeze the funds until investigation is completed. I Hate it for you. Good luck.
 
I've bought 2 from him w/o any issues. This was like August and December. What I hate is when it's stated in stock and takes 3 months to receive it. Probably collecting money for a big purchase with a big discount from a wholesaler. Impact guns did that to me. They ghosted me, but I made sure I git all of my money back and did thru my bank. Good luck
 
Hey, i offered to refund your money and you keep the upper but you refused.
Not sure if this a joke or if you are really that guy. If you are then exactly when/where did you make that offer. You have my phone number and email and you can contact me thru GB. YES return my money.

So I spoke to the local PD investigations unit and started the process. Monday is a conversation with my Atty General's Office. I also discovered that Im not the only one who has had issues with him.

I received an email from him last night saying to return (he provided a shipping label) and he would send the correct item. Frankly Im hesitant. I responded saying that I understood this was his way of working toward redemption but that I wasnt sending him anything until I had the right item in my hands because of his history of delaying tactics and subversion. I also added that once I had the ORDERED item, I would contact the police and advise them that I was now satisfied so they could conclude the investigation.
