Well due to many levels of mismanagement we are heading towards more bail outs. Could bail out just be another word for socialism. After the money used for the the 07/08 debacle, the recent corporate tax break, and now the looming price tag when will it stop. These failures then the bailouts are the combined efforts of both parties. Just my thoughts

I don't get why the airlines, cruise industries, and all that "should" get government money here...everyone is (potentially) hit hard here, down to individuals. Why should those individuals be forced to encumber more taxes in order to pay the bills that come from these bailouts? What do I do when I'm forced to stay home from work (by state decree) and can't pay my mortgage? Why aren't airlines and all held to the same requirements that us mere individuals are? If you can't work...you don't earn. Period. At least, that's the way I was raised...

I read this FTC new letter this morning which might be considered a bailout for us of sorts 💵:) (and 10mmLife knows where mine would go 💸🔫). I agree with peglegjoe above on bailout for companies that put themselves in a mess and then get bailed out by us taxpayers for their misdeeds while we as individual citizens are left to our own devices if we hit rough times. Starting personal Rant: One bank that I wish would fail completely is Wells Fargo. I dealt with them, had an account with them and they'd charge a fee if you just talked to them 🤬. I realize that people that have a mutual fund that invests in a bank like WF, may not even know they're invested in them & would be hurt financially if they failed (heck, I may even be invested in them). But punishment needs to be doled out to these corrupted badly managed institutions. End personal Rant.
And another thing the government needs to do that would help us out immensly, is either push the 4/15 tax due date back, or eliminate it for this year entirely (that would be nice :sneaky:).

I wondered the same. Why did they keep flying planes when people weren't on them?

With the amount of money that is being thrown around, they could just give it to the people and it would make a much bigger difference. Nope, we gotta bail out businesses that continuously make bad choices.

My understanding is that the tax filing deadline will be pushed back. Not sure if that's rumor or if it's happening for real...but it would only make sense. Looking online, discussion is already happening about it at the WH.

Not like they have staff in place to process the refunds anyway right now...

Thanks, I think that would help people out there, as it would me, as I just started them.

Well I haven't had to pay taxes in 3 years . That's when I got divorced and moved to the apartment I now live in. I wonder if I and people like me will get this $1000.00 . I've paid taxes since 1972 so the Government has stolen ... errr .... made me pay in my share.
