I like the Torq-Thrust Ds in both black and natural (gray), don't care for 'em polished at all. Generally I like the black on lighter-color cars, and gray on darker cars. Either color would look just pure badass on a black '66 L72 Biscayne, but in the analogy I'm making here, the grays would probably be more appropriate.

You're right, looks like .... and feels like ..... a totally different gun. I really like them. I'm thinking now about a set for my mod36 S&W Chief's Special as well. Both sides are really close to identical, just a bad lighting from one direction. Didn't notice till I posted them.
That was kinda my point. The L72 Biscayne and my Smith Highway Patrolman are both big, heavy, powerful but completely unpretentious machines that aren't anything "special" to the casual observer, but very cool to "those who know." But add those wheels, or those grips, and they become just that much more "extra."
Can't answer that for you but if you do order grips for a trooper it ought to fit one of the 2 you have lol. I know, no help at all.

And truthfully, I had to slip out for a couple hours anyway so I just quickly entered the post with the questions in hopes of having an answer or two when I got back (just about 5 minutes ago). Re your new Charter grips, They look great and I have no doubt they feel great and even help you shoot better. However, they substantially increase the size of the gun. I have several Smith K-frame roundbutts and have a number of different grips for them, all of which look and feel great but increase the size of the gun, same situation you're in now. I set one of them up with a simple Tyler T-grip adapter and discovered to my delight that it now felt just as good as any of the other grips, looked even more badass, and the size wasn't increased at all. That could work for you, too, if you intend to carry the thing, and of course you can always bolt on your fancy grips for Range Day. Hope this information is of interest and use to you.
