A recent photo series released by the U.S. Navy showcased the iconic Beretta M9, still in service with the country’s maritime forces.

The crew of the Pearl Harbor-based Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) was recently seen putting the M9 service pistol through its paces on a makeshift range set up on the ship’s helicopter deck.

I must admit, the thing is HUGE. But I always shot it remarkably well, and it was confidence inspiring because of that. A lot to try and hide, but as a house gun? You bet!

Once I got use to it I loved the Beretta. The Federal Bureau of Prisons had the 92D Vertec DAO and my institution obtained some ex VA guns the 92D Centurion

All great guns.

I’d like to get my hands on a Wilson Combat Centurion or a Langdon Tactical version

They're fix for them blowing the faces off the operators was to make it blow up forward and not hit the faces.
