I'm an SA fan, but the Dan Wesson Vigil CCO looks like it would be my choice if I were going to carry a 1911 as my EDC. I'd still keep a 911 for deep concealment/pocket carry.

I used to have a Kimber Tactical Ultra . It had a 3" BBL. Nice little gun and shot great. I traded it in on my XDs and a LCP II .

I’m pretty happy with the RO LW Compact I picked up; took it out yesterday, put another 150 rounds through it, tried out my Wilson ETM 9rd mags...got my new grips in transit, so the only thing it needs is some frontstrap texture, and I think I’ll just get a Wilson checkered frontstrap, and trim it for the compact...a little tonier than skate tape.

May change out the sights, we’ll see.
