While concealing a 1911 isn't that difficult, it really isn't a gun I would classify as a CC gun. Same goes for my XD Mod 2 4" which I routinely conceal and carry.

As for .45s that were designed and marketed as CC guns, my favorite is the Shield.

I really like the Springfield xd45 subcompact, same length and hight as the xds, but an 1/8 inch wider with a double stack capacity of 9+1 & 13+1 with the extended mag.

My Son and Son-in-law both have 9mm versions, and love the ergonomics of this pistol.

As far as double-stack offerings in 45 acp for concealed carry go, I'd take my XD45 Mod.2 Compact over the guns listed in the article. I'm guessing it wasn't included in the list because it has been discontinued by SA. I don't know much about Tanfoglio, but I don't see them on many top 10 lists. If I were to carry a 45, I'd probably pick one of the many single stack options on the market.

I got a few on the list in 45's (PC V1 Shield, XDs and G30S). I agree with @wmg1299 on the XD Mod.2 Compact 45 that I also own. Heck, I even have the XDe compact in 45 that's also nice. (although neither are listed in the article).

I carried a Kimber Tactical ultra II in .45ACP for many years as my concealed carry gun. Never had a minutes bit of trouble out of it.

I don't have any of these in 45 but I do in 40. I would pick the XD or S&W.

But then there's the Boberg XR45-S, and the AMT Backup 45.

The latter is much more affordable.

I carried a double-stack pistol IWB for a decade without a problem. Once the Sig P365 and the SA Hellcat came out, my Glock 26 seemed huge in comparison. Since I have become spoiled to slim, concealable 9mm offerings with capacities of 10-plus, I can't picture myself carrying a double-stack 45. My XD Mod.2 45 Compact is a great gun, but I'd choose the XDS for daily carry if I went with a 45. I'm still holding out hope for a Hellcat in .45 acp with an 8-9 round capacity.

I find my XDm compact .45acp so comfortable I truly forget its there.
