Magloaders came free in the hard plastic cases with my HK and Walther. I tried to use the one in the Walther when I first got it and it just seemed like a pain in the *** and a solution to a problem that didn't exist. Yet.
My dad is grateful the magazines for the S&W EZ have the little tabs. I imagine I'll get there.

One last thing on the loading sometimes the thumb is only way to load I have to agree

This loader is still loading one round at a time correct ?
Magula has a smaller loader that loads 10 rounds at a time. It can be loaded with 10 loose rounds or 10 rounds on a stripper clip. Mine works good. Its very small and can fit in a pocket so its easy to take with you to the range. Probably not as fast as the 30 round loaders but I like mine and it works well for me. Did have to learn how to hold the mags steady while pushing the rounds down into them but it now works great.

I use a Madlula that I have had for years, also let students in my classes use it. I have been through instructor courses where I shot more than 1000 rounds in 5 days and would not have made it without my Maglula.
