Best of luck getting any “Goods” to market .. massive cargo logjam

The COVID lockdowns coupled with Just-In-Time logistics strategies across all markets (which is actually a good thing that normally reduces the cost of products) has resulted in supply chain problems that may last for years. When you couple that with the arbitrary increase of unemployment insurance payouts, it has created a real problem in the logistics world.

Hey guys, just think of all the Christmas presents just sitting out there just waiting to be unloaded.

Man o man, here is some insight to the long delays getting any needed items.

Massive logjam at the biggest port in the United States 😳😳😳

Have been following that too KF. Thanks for more info. Have mixed feelings on it.

Am thinking is some of it too. Others things were likely neglected in a "what if scenario." If there even was one?

Buy USA made stuff.

Still may not get stuff quickly like pre-Covid, but let the Chicom ships rust at anchor.
Sort of mixed on that. Remember, or brush up on economic aid of US to other countries after WWII may come to mind? What were their responses to economic aid? Generally good. Came to be good neighbors. US economic aid in different guises to Chicom's responses so far? Debatable or not?

You do have a valid point for some people, likely many.
But, some of us had / have and enjoy a fairly frugal Christmas as far as presents go, concentrating more on being together with each other. The gift of each other can be the best present ever received.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say Bob, but one of the biggest problems in this country right now is our politicians from both parties are addicted to Chinese money and putting it ahead of the welfare of this country. Even to the point of treason in some cases.

Some to much of it you just pointed out. Some of it is cheap shoddy inferior and sometimes dangerous goods received here from there. Some may be brushed off due to sometimes poor manufacturing methods and sometimes lame media overreacting and glorifying a story to get a read, but on some other goods? - Am not so sure of. Much of it is the little things adding up. Patent infringement is one. W/o going into detail, some of those little things added up could be considered to be passive acts of aggression. To me, that smells odd and not really neighborly.
