Best optics

Leopolds are a joke. Ive out shot them with $300 ex-navel contract scopes the Sealed used.
They have a stupid name, Ive sold many and not one has been sent pack for anything.
Vortex is good glass, but we have returned two of them for turret problems.

I will take these to war and they are far better than the Accu-Tracs I had to use in the army until the mildot came out.

Eh, I’ll put my Mk4 up against any other sub-$1k 4.5-14 out there.

I mean, they’re no S&B or Hensoldt, sure…but no American glass can compete against the Krauts, with the possible exception of USO…

Thanks for the input

FWIW, I've got tens of thousands of rounds on a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro and run them across multiple guns. They had a certain period where they were, in fact, crap... you can search "blue green circuit board deltapoint" for the rabbit hole. If you have one of the not-crappy ones (a recent one), you're fine.

For the money, there are MUCH better options out there now, but few as reliable IMO - it will all depend on your use. Vortex is hard to beat for warranty purposes. Cyelee is hard to beat in terms of cheap price/performance, but I can't vouch for longevity yet.

If we’re talking pistol optics the Deltapoint Pro is in a league of its own. I’d like to see them bring out a green dot and maybe lower their dock a bit but their glass and dot quality is outstanding.

Funny you should say that.
We were at the range one day and a guy was at the deep banging away at the 550 yard targets.
We did some 200 yard zeroing, when we were done I walked down to him and asked what he was doing with his Mk4.
He said was trying to hit the 500 yard targets, but only the ear not the main body.
I went and dragged my rifle down. Gave him one round. Told him to aim right where he wanted to go, and use the 3rd dot down. He hit the target first time. Told him it was a $300 scope and a few hundred for goodies.
Mildots gave him an advantage in elevation, and thats all he needed.

The Accu-Tracs were Redfield scopes.

Of course you did.
