You can begin, and generally work for quite some time, with the old standard Hoppe's kits. You'll replace components to your liking as you proceed. IMO.

Basic kit from Hoppe or equivalent [ Just price checked internet , pricres in $15 ‐ $30 range] , will get you a cleaning rod , brush , and couple of Tips and Jags , cheaper than individual pieces . Plus a cheasy little plastic box . Buy extra package of patches same time .
This will get newbie thru first couple of range trips . After that , add additional ( whatevers ) , to your preferences .

it was actually quite hard to find anywhere....i cannot recall where i finally got it.Didn’t know they had carbon fiber rod now, but finally they do!
I’ve been know to save my plastic chop sticks from a sushi restaurant to use as a push rod for cleaning patches. They are about 5-6” in length, so work well for the majority of my handguns.
