It goes on and on and on every time there is a shooting, it gets old, they start this gun control agenda even before all the facts are out.

And for all the rhetoric nothing ever happens. Politicians talk about gun control but no laws are getting passed. Even if the filibuster goes away there won't be any laws passed because it would cost a lot of senators votes in their next election. One of the rare things the filibuster is good for is letting politicians rage about their issues and complain about the other side, knowing they can put out soundbites on something they'll never have to actually vote on. They can boast about their hard stances and talk tough without ever having to man up and walk the walk.

I agree 100%

.... and they wont bring up crime in Chicago, St Louis, NY and many other cities.

I really don't know what Biden want congress to do that specifically would deal with this particular mass shooting event. From first reports that I read (and I know it could all change, as these reporter scramble to get out the particulars as soon as possible), he had two handguns that could have been bought legally, and several high capacity magazines (the reporter then went on to say "he even had a 12 round magazine", seemingly indicating that was the largest capacity mag he had in this shooting (California law restricts mags to be 10 rounds or less, unless the owner had higher capacity mags before the law was enacted, thus grandfathered in)).
I'm sure Biden is using this tragic event to push congress to pass any gun control, but I'm just amazed that he and others concentrate on Gun control while ignoring Drinking/texting driving fatalities, and fentanyl drug deaths (much coming across the border with Mexican drug dealers using undocumented people as cover), which in both cases cause more deaths than these tragic mass shootings.

And from what I just heard on the news the shooter knew on the day of the shooting he was going to a discipline hearing with HR for some past indiscretions and was facing suspension or termination. Since the shooting occurred during shift change he could have caused the same carnage with a car while people walked to there cars in the parking lot.

We don’t need new laws. California has some of the strictest laws in the country already. This guy’s wife (or ex-wife) said he had been talking about killing people at work for a while, but didn’t believe he’d do it. Should have been reported to the police and the workplace and been looked into. Enforce the current laws and people need to be proactive with warning signs. We don’t need any new laws…

Not only that but handguns are the favorite weapon of homicide, not the maligned AR 15, yet gun control stooges never do mention handguns because they know it's an impossibility to do a thing about them. Their restrictive permits and attempted bans on them in metros as well as restricting magazine sizes have done nothing to prevent homicidal shooters or gang violence.

The worst school mass shootings in our history have been via handguns in Colorado and Virginia, one during the "assault weapons" ban, and the other wrecked havoc with a .22LR pistol as one of his two weapons.

It's bizarre how the murderer is always secondary to the weapon in these tragedies played up for sensationalism by the press seem to be.

My point was, for all the rhetoric there never will be any. Right now they can blame the filibuster, if the filibuster goes away they'll find another excuse. All the talk on guns will come to nothing.

That was kind of my thought when reading/hearing that Biden was urging Congress to act after this most recent mass shooting. Hearing the gunman used pistols in this incident, I thought “what does Biden want Congress to do now, ban semiautomatic handguns?”. I believe that to some gun control fanatics, that’s truly their ultimate goal.

They’re firearm phobes at the end of the day, fearful of what they don’t understand and don’t care to take the time to be educated about.
