Blast Diverter Removal

Has anyone removed the .308 pistol blast diverter? I'd like to replace it with a different muzzle device but it's on there pretty good. Any recommendations?
It should just spin off with an armorer's wrench and I would highly recommend you use a .308 reaction rod and vise so you don't stress the upper receiver.

If you aren't interested in spending $100 plus for a reaction rod I would recommend taking the upper to a local gunsmith and have them remove it as they are likely to have the proper tools. This shouldn't cost more than $20 to take off at an honest gunsmith.
