Buying Your First Concealment Pistol

I would like to see comparisons between the XD mod with the hellcat or hellcat ported for beginners EDC.
Hellcat RDP. Only adds one inch to length and 1.5 oz to weight, along with the compensator. Bonus is the longer barrel as well as option to add optic.

I just compared these two quickly. It seems there are just as many RDP choices as regular Hellcat choices (limited capacity, manual safety, different magazine sizes, colors, etc.)

No doubt about the hellcat, even tighter group in either style the article was speaking about the xd-s, so my question still stands why should I add this to my EDC rotation. Still waiting for the echalon 4.0 C ported.

Personally it’s up to the person that is carrying the firearm. I am happy she found the firearm that fit her. I always tell people to go to a range and try out what you like. Some of us rotate in between different firearms.

Well, the XD is $173 cheaper? I’d still keep my Hellcat OSP, which was $489 new via Firstline program. I haven’t looked around, but XD may be cheaper via Firstline as well ($349.00 at Berelli’s via Firstline program, I was curious 😀). So $140 cheaper for XD.

I’m not a fan of a grip safety on a small automatic either, though I’m sure some folks like them. Would much rather have a manual safety, though I’m used to those from 1911s.

I’m not sure the benefit Springfield would get promoting one model over the other, unless they are having trouble moving the new XD-S Mod.2 OSPs?
