I wanted a Broomhandle for years. Back in the 80s a bunch came in from China (?) through a distributor in Oyster Bay (Teddy Roosevelt) home. Like all surplus, some were really nice and some not so much. Some were 7.63 some converted to 9mm. Some the shorter Bolo model
They were $325 back then which was fair considering the other Broomhandles on the market. I passed and I think I bought a series 70 1911 in 38 Super as a "better" gun; but Its one of my gun regrets
Last year a Broomhandle came in the shop. It had been a 9mm conversion that needed help. The guy bought it on an auction not knowing how much help it needed. He just wanted to sell it. I bought it cheap hoping that it could be made to work. The gunsmith did his magic. Its shootable now. Not very accurate at distance but a Super Cool gen one PDW
