CA Compliant Hellcat Pro Wont Dry fire anymore???

Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me. I have recently purchased Hellcat pro and I haven't been to the range yet, but I removed the slide to apply talon grips to handle and slide, After I put the slide back on and I checked to see if it was actioning correctly and it would dry fire. Am I tripping could it ever dry fire lol. I need some help guys. What could the issue be. I live in the city so testing it isnt easy.

well...if it dry fired BEFORE the Talon Grips....

but does not now.......

i'd start off by thinking those Talon Grips are an issue..???

I don't understand why putting Talon grips on would mess it up. I would break it down and make sure everything was installed properly. If it still doesn't work take it to a gunsmith to have a look at it. I would not call Springfield as it wasn't their fault, you put aftermarket parts on firearm. Honestly, i do not believe in dry firing any firearm, I know others say differently but that's just me.

The pistol has to be able to dry fire, if for no other reason you have to dry fire it to disassemble it. If you can't dry fire it now you won't be able to disassemble it to fix it.

I wonder if something is slightly out of place putting it back together preventing the bolt from closing completely.

Is the spring set in groove on the barrel correctly. If not it can hangup when cycling.

Does the trigger scissor safety function properly?

Let us know if you are able to disassemble it.

I wonder how many times he dried fire without snap caps? Maybe broken firing pin?
I never did dryfire Only once before. Then like I was saying I only removed slide. I didn't put any aftermarket parts on just some grip. I know dry fireing is not a good thing which is why i never did. But after watching videos of others field striping they say check to see if it actions properly. When I did, I didn't hear the firing pin. (I also only removed slide I did not mess with it any further).

But anything is possible, and it is def the firing pin I feel it in my soul. I really appreciate the input Good Sir

I am able to disassemble it, and it does cycle rounds when just pulling the slide back.
I am able to rack the slide back but after it is back and ready and I pulled the trigger to check functionality after reattaching the slide to the lower the firing pin does not action.

I am going to grab some photos for yall asap. The recoil spring and barrel are set correctly.
Also, Yes the trigger safety switch does work properly, and I am able to pull the trigger.

@MedicalMan,
After racking the slide is your trigger in the forward position like this 1st picture?

If so, after you pull the trigger does it stay in the rear position like this picture?

I never gave up everyone Thanks for everything I will have updates soon. Sorry Father of 3 and constantly working. I kept trying to get to my gun and the computer, but you guys know how it is.
Tonight, once I get off work I will be taking picks of firearm tonight. I have slowly come to the conclusion that my Striker shaft has most likely snapped in half after reassembling after Field Strip.

You guys are Great and I appreciate the comradery, I don't reach out for help often I am sure glad I did.
