Even better, it'll be a historic, all-Cadillac front row come this weekend's endurance race.

Actually, his car looks like a 963
OK. You're right. I don't follow prototypes and sportscars as much since the FIA GT days.

But to be fair, it's alot easier to make a mid-engine car look like their other mid-engine car, especially if the race car doesn't even pass tech. And the only 963 hypercar car for the road was a one-off car for Penske, and I think I heard them say on TV that Penske's initial is in the model name

For Cadillac to build a mid-engine race car to look like a front-engine mass production road car for branding purposes would be low priority/next to impossible.

But both the 963 and Cadillac LeMans car look like rocket ships

It's not like nascar, where you can put a metric headlight decal on a Camaro and turn it into a toyota.

By the way, as much as I respect Roger Penske, he's a belly-crawling toxic traitorious back-stabbing gomer $nake who'll bulldoze his way through any rulebook without an once of pride.

eta: just remembered: Porsche killed a racing series, along with Penske, with the 917 CanAm (it was ungodly fast) by capitalizing on a ma$$ive rules advantage that destroyed the competion. But he sure is successful

Half-a-century later, Captain Liverspots hasn't changed his spots. He just keeps growing more.

Sorry. I think my opinión of Penske may have slipped out.

Yep. Money spoiling the sport again. The faces change, there are different corporate butts to kiss, but it's the same principle everywhere. Penske's no Bill France. Yet.

But he's been instrumental in the death of two of my favorite racing series. The man has no limits. And his teams are all top notch.
