Calling all motorcycle enthusiasts.

Great Softtail!
Started riding in 1970. Now 72 years old and still can’t get enough. My 2021 CVO Road Glide.

I, too, have been riding on the street since 1970. I'm currently on my third Road Glide ( 2020 FLTRK) and it's parked next to a 2011 Diavel (that I need to ride more, but I'm alive because I don't ride it much).

I've had hundreds of thousand of miles on the RGs (no CVOs, though), but this last one seems to be getting heavier every time I ride it. I find I don't get on it to go grocery shopping like I used to anymore...

I've got pictures of my dad's Vincent Black Shadow. I started on a Mini-Trail 50....RD 200, 350, 400 and then a BSA 441 Victor and 650 Lightning-none of those bikes were IronButt rides, plus a couple others. A couple of bikes in boxes got passed on to make room for race car-type stuff for a couple of decades...

I'll stop now....everybody in my family rides to some degree. My grandpa rode. Mom wrecked Dad's Triumph Speed Twin. Both my sisters still have their MC licenses.

For awhile, I thought everybody rode motorcycles

I started on a Rupp minibike in 1976, then the natural progression to a Kawasaki 80, etc, etc.

Gave it up when I moved to the Chicago area for a few years in the late 80s.

Started back into it in 2017, by buying what I wanted years before: a BMW K75. I added a BMW R1100RS a couple years later.

Still have the Rupp, too.

That's awesome.
I had two Rupps back in the 70s as well. The scrambler was my first ever bike with suspension. Looked just like this one.

Had an Uncle who built mini bikes and go karts for the kids, so that was about '62, then rode a Benelli 65cc (like the Rupp, but a MC engine) then a Yamaha 250, to a Triumph 650, BMW 1000, Suzuki GS 1000, Honda Trans Alp, a Vulcan 1800, to a Honda VTX 1800, then when the legs were giving out, triked the VTX to a three wheeler. Even got to ride a bit in Europe while in the Army on a German friend's Beemer RT, so pretty much riding for 65 years on something.

I rode in the 90's (my 20's), then gave it up for 24 years. After a divorce, with lots of free time on weekends with nothing to do I decided to pick it up again and got the R1250. Road it for a year, traded it in on the K1600. Now I'm thinking I'll add a sport bike to the garage (or maybe a Ducati Monster) for when I want to scrape my knees a little...
K1600s are amazing. I’ve heard people say such and such engine is “electric motor smooth” and thought yeah, sure.

Well, the K1600 is pretty close! I test rode one at a dealer’s demo day and couldn’t get over it. We rode as a group, and when we stopped at a stop sign, I started to pull away and realized the screaming engine I was hearing was mine. I was busy watching cross traffic and going by engine feel but there wasn’t anything to feel!

Started out back in early 60's with a HD 165 Hummer. Then sometime after the Hummer, traded it for a mid-late 60's Shovelhead 1100 IIRC. It was a semi built chopper of the day and still had the left foot shift and right foot brake as I recall. Over the years except while military, had several other HD's, had 1 Honda cb900 I bought from a Shriner as the precision riding team was upgrading to Goldwings, a Ducati 350 while stationed in NOB Norfolk (made a couple trips from Norfolk to New Orleans for Mardi Gra on the 350), a couple Glides over the years after discharge, 1 Softail Custom, then went without for several years after the heart attack and 4 back surgeries in early 2000's. At 60+/-, decided I wanted some more, but alas the years and health had caught up and I just couldn't throw 'em around like I did at 20-50+/-, so I bought a 1200 Evo Sportster. It turned out weighing a little under 500 lbs made all the difference. I could throw the Sporty around almost as good as the bigger bikes from years before, or at least thought I could, and enjoyed it every bit as much as any I ever had. Brought it with me to the 'institution' (retirement community) but had nowhere to keep it inside and clean. I got so tired of it being covered in dust, dirt, and other crud so I sold it in 2019. Oh yeah, never did care for the crotch rockets and never owned on, but did have a 1970's Yamaha 650 till the big wreck and slide. Yessir, I've rode a mile or two.
A Ducati 350? Amazing how those vintage ducs have increased in value. The first motorcycle I rode on was on the back of my father's new '67 Ducati 350 Sebring. I was hooked after that. What model was your Ducati?

Thirty accident free years on two wheels. Even though I consider myself a car guy, there was a time in my life when I owned multiple motorcycles, but nothing with four wheels. Got married fourteen years ago, was riding less and less because my wife was not going to get on the back for love nor money. She did love convertibles however. So I finally gave my Harley to my older brother and got the Cobra for my 50th birthday. Still miss riding with the old crew sometimes, but taking my wife in the Cobra is more fun. Besides, it is basically a four wheeled motorcycle.

Triumph Bonneville, first motorcycle in college in the early 80's. Even in the 80's I was stuck in the 60's!

It was a used bike when I bought it and had several mods done to it, but best I remember it started out as a Mod 3, but after the previous owner and I were done, it was by far more like a Scrambler (early bobber - sorta'). Dang, just thinking back on these times helps me understand just how long it has been.......:)

Been riding since before I had a license. More miles than I can count, and stopped counting the bikes years ago. Criss crossed this great land of ours many times. Have had all brands(except Harleys), and have been sitting on a trio of Italians for the last few years. The city bike, the “go long” bike, and the heart attack serious bike. A different bike each having a different strength, just like our 2A stuff.

My first Goldwing was a 1200 Interstate color WineBerry Red it was a fantastic ride and beautiful.
Goldwings were were a nice ride and the customizing was a bit over the top. It was black with gold pin striping and trim and a Yosemite Sam mud flap with him holding 2 six shooters that when you hit the brake's it looked like he was shooting and it lit up saying Back off. Rode it to Laguna Seca for super bike races. One way distance was about 600 mile ride one way and the ride over Kit Carson pass was one fantastic and beautiful sight.

I bought my first house brand new when I was 22. Had a bed and a desk, so when the people at my office wanted to throw a housewarming party, I moved the motorcycles into the living room so they would have a place to sit. Ah, the bachelor life!

Norton id my favorite Brit bike...after they are sorted out. I rode a radically chopped hard tail Norton 750 around 1975. Loved the sound and the power band. Wasn't happy when one of the pipes came off the head at 70MPH though. Very loud.

The Rupp is gold right now. Don't sell! I really like the BMW brick. Ever have trouble with the drive shaft splines?
