Everyone thinks they know best, I get that but Hollywood seems to think they have to TELL you how to think

I loved the Marvel's AVENGER series, then Mark Ruffalo had to ruin it for me. Whats next is some beer company gonna use a trans to advertise for them? I mean no one could be that stupid

I don't care. I'm not a person that would be persuaded by a performers views. I can always get up and leave, change the streaming service, or don't purchase the merch. Look at the posts here. Imagine what some could do if given the opportunity to speak to millions at one time

There are so many actors that I used to love, then I see them making political speeches. It took me years to get past Jane Fonda's treason and Im not sure I really ever did. I used to love Bruce Springsteen but I cant deal with his political BS anymore.

I really liked the Dixie Chics and they could say whatever they wanted but when they started bitching overseas I took exception ....and by the way their career dumped afterwards

To be clear, they are welcome to their politics (even if I disagree) but their job is to ACT

there was a time, like when Johnny Carson was on the Tonight Show, that politics was not really spoken by the actors, but only REAL politicians when they were a guest.......or reporters that were well know at the time, or political talk show hosts as well..

Johnny kept politics down as much as possible, and i liked that.

but as time went on. more liberal views came out of the mouths of the actors, and frankly, i did not watch any late night show to hear them anout thier views...i wanted to hear and see clips of thier upcoming movies....

so in the end, if they bash ANY party, i erase the the tape or the hard drive now.

I get taken aback to anyone famous using their platform to make a political statement.

this is why i did not watch ONE OLYMPIC game...some nitwit spoke out about politics, and i read about it, and cancelled them..of course my wife, likes the figure skating and dancing events, ( i think nearly all women do) so that's all she watched.

If some “star or producer/director has a crappy opinion, I don’t need to listen or pay my bucks.

When I go to a restaurant, I dont ask the chef his politics BUT when I was a uniform cop, I only ate where I could see the cook make the food.....(you may have to be a cop to fully get that one)

Singers, actors, athletes, etc are famous because they are very good at what they do. Famous because of that one thing they're good at. But when you look at the rest of their life outside of that one thing, you quickly find that about 90% of them are complete idiots. Never take advice from an idiot. Only an idiot would do so.
