Carrying at the gym?

No, I don't know anyone who does. Our nation's population is becoming so incredibly warped, it's almost indescribable. Maybe there is a use for that little NAA midget gun after all!

At my former Planet Fitness in Colorado Springs, about half of the staff was armed at any given time.

I'm fairly certain it was against corporate policy I am also fairly certain the franchise owner was completely aware that his staff was packing heat.

One of my grandchildren was the manager at that Planet Fitness so she knew I was armed.

I did not. I was part of one of the luckier departments, with free weights and a refurbished Universal Gym at our constant disposal. I always had my gear close by, secured in a weapon locker, just in case.
My PD had at least a Universal in every station but some of the guys complained they didnt have enough weight (NOT me). Some of the guys I worked with didnt need a jack to change a flat. They lifted with one arm and spun the lug nuts with the other...as for me, once I could squeeze a DA trigger I figured I was strong enough???

I belong to Planet Fitness, and it is the closest gym to me, at only 20 miles away. It has a no firearms policy. I carry inside a fanny pack, and no one bats an eye. Not even the blue/pink haired, nose ringed, tattooed trans something front desk attendant. I go in and out in my workout clothes, so no need to change or use the locker room. 90% of the time I go straight home after my workout. But I could care less if I make a stop at Walmart on my way home. I'm still better dressed than the majority of customers inside there. If Planet Fitness catches me, the worst that will happen to me is getting my membership revoked. No big deal. Just another mile or so to the next gym.

The lunk alarm is for the muscle-bound meatheads who get way too loud and want attention from their loud grunting. Or for throwing around weights. Or clanking machines too roughly. I've personally never heard the alarm go off in any of the Planet Fitness locations I was a member of, or the current location I am a member of now.

I'm a Karen when it comes to people dropping weights, hogging more than one piece of equipment at a time, counting out loud, and sitting their azzes on a machine to fiddle with their I-phone. Those with the worst gym etiquette wear woke costumes.

Way off course here, but WTH... I was serving with the 1st Marine Brigade in Kaneohe, HI at the same time Ernie Santiago was in the USMC and winning bodybuilding contests. Late 70's. He was a Hawaiian local. Great guy. Had a large tattoo on one arm, and I hear that kept him from going past Mr. USA. Not sure if that's true though. If I recall, he would work out at the base gym we used.
