Checking another item off my summer list. Scrubbing the carpet and mats in the Journey. Getting rid of the nasty salt buildup that gets thru no matter what I do.
Just out on curiosity, care to elaborate on the knife. My EDC knife gets used a dozen time a day or more.
I think that the Gov. has given me Tourette syndrome. I saw CDC and started twitching, blinking, and ready to start swearing like a sailor. YA GOT ME
The knife is a Blackie Collins designed Bolt Action. I carried the original Gerber clipless, thumb studless version for about 15 years and after he left Gerber and took the design to Myerco they added a belt clip and thumb stud, and I got one to carry. Steel probably not on par with the old Gerber but the clip is so handy and it holds a decent sharp edge. I carried it by itself for probably a decade. I still use it around the homestead during chores.
The Bolt Action lock is in my opinion the father and grandfather of many of today's locks, ball bearing lock, Axis lock included that use a stub or piece of metal that slides into and out of an indention in the blade pivot to lock it in place. It's safe, smooth, and easy to operate with either hand.
Additionally if you look the hsndle is rather triangular with the small end at the pinkie which makes for a very natural strong comfortable grip thst is often ignored in knife design. I am not alone in loving it, Steven Dick the one time editor of Blade loved and used it also.
