Introduced in 1984....
I don't think I have, until this article, ever seen one of these things. I've certainly never seen it on anyone in the thousands of SOF photos there are out there on the internet. I used to collect mail order catalogs, like Eagle Industries, read every gun magazine I could get my hands on etc, back then.
