Cheek riser on a pistol brace

Hi everyone,

I'm considering mounting the Strike Industries cheek riser on the SI brace of my Kuna, but I'm concerned that doing so could cause it to be classified as an SBR.

I've spent some time researching the issue, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer. Most of the information I've come across is vague and seems to suggest that it's a legal gray area.

For those who may have experience with this setup or a better understanding of the regulations, what are your thoughts?

I don't think a cheek riser transforms a brace into a stock, hence no SBR. But you're correct, there's no hard and fast rules. There's an interesting thread on another Springfield forum...

New Kuna owner here. Does any one else find it difficult to fold open this brace? It's creds say it's rapid deploy, and I have seen the videos showing this, but damn - I feel like I might bend the aluminum or break the polymer picatinny backplate trying that on mine. Any suggestions on how...

A cheek riser should be fine, just don't remove that thin buttplate and replace it with the thicker one with rubber

It's an interesting question. There's lot of discussion on Reddit, but nothing definitive. The AI summary is basically "you'll probably be OK" as long as the brace can still be used as a brace after installing the cheek riser.
