A critical navigation component used in Shahed-series attack drones is now openly available for purchase on a major Chinese e-commerce platform.

Coming to a terrorist group/drug cartel near you?

wholly cowwwww patties
3200 buckaroos
plus you need a drone .
Yeah, and it’ll deliver a whopping 66-110 lb warhead😏 at 115 mph. Does this make ANY sense? I mean a 155’ll do the same thing for a lot less $ per shot ( albeit at a MUCH shorter range). Figure 4500-5k PER shot (at least). No wonder the war in Ukraine is so costly!

You forgot the cost of the M777 howitzer ($2-4million USD) to fire the cheap ($3-5K) basic 155 shell, but since the drone is GPS/equivalent-guided the GPS-guided 155 shell costs $100K+.

One GPS-guided artillery shell, like the M982 Excalibur, can achieve the same effect as between 10 and 50 unguided artillery rounds.

So, drones are still cheaper.
