Cleaning my Springer Precision Compensated XDm 4.5 10mm Pistol

Hey All,

I recently added a Springer Precision Comp to my XDm 4.5 10mm. This is my 1st compensated striker fired pistol and I'm fairly OCD when it comes to cleaning. Not being able to fully remove the barrel is going to he a splinter in my OCD brain.

Any OCD folks in here who have a compensator pistol and found a solution for really getting her clean?

You thread it on up to the slide, but not touching and probably has an allen set screw? I can't identify the mfg?

I have a few and without comp removal. Just remove the slide assembly. Remove the spring so you can clean the barrel, lube/ clean and reassemble.

My question was an obvious one. You take the comp off if it's not permanently attached.

Then just unscrew the comp.

You may want to get a gunsmith to install a set screw, once indexed, if it's walking alot.

I slapped some loctite in there. Otherwise it's all over the place while shooting.

I'd use blue. With red you'll need a torch to get the comp off.

Still, getting a set screw installed would be an option.

Thanks for the assist. Sorry for the clunky responses. This is a new format for me and definitely not user friendly from a cell phone. Laptop is much better. I appreciate the visuals and that is one good looking firearm.

If you use your phone reducing the pixels will help, because of the limit. If you use a phone for replies/post it will give you choices in the attach files. A computer attach file has the same limits also. I think the total is 4 files with a total of 10mb?
