Colt’s Kodiak 2.0

That’s a Purdy gun. And in my favorite caliber. I bought a S&W 69 combat magnum a couple years ago with the intent of making myself learn to like a double action pistol. It didn’t work and I sold it. I’ll shot a single action all day long but I just can’t get used to a double action pistol. To me it like kissing your sister it just doesn’t feel right. I’ve got a Ruger Super Blackhawk that was made in 1979 ( the year I graduated HS) I love shooting that pistol. Even with full house 310gr FNGC bullets it’s not bad to shot.

Kudos to CZ Group for bringing back the Colt revolvers. I can’t say I’m going to jump on the bandwagon of new Colt wheel guns. I have two “legacy” Pythons from the 70s and a Anaconda in 45 Colt from 1993-ish that I am more than satisfied with.

I know two guys who have purchased “new” Pythons and had to upgrade the sights and have action jobs done to get them to a point where they liked them.

Am also not a fan of drilled and tapped tool straps. To me, that’s a structural weakness, and purely a personal thing.

To spend +/-$1500 on a revolver and another +/-$500 for sights and trigger job …. eeehhhh.

Theres nothing like an original Python. Ive handled all the "New Colts" as they came into the shop. They are pretty nice, maybe not as smooth as the originals; but of course these are new and havent been shot for 50 years. I have regretted not buying each one when it came in to the shop.
