Competition Guns

I know Springfield discontinued a lot of guns in the last few years, including the XD-M Elite 5.25" 45 caliber and the 9mm. But even with all of the other custom competition guns out there including a lot of competitors using Glock, Canik, Staccato, etc, has Springfield ever considered trying to compete in that market with any level of improvements on their existing platforms. I get the feeling that there would be a lot of positive response to something like that.

Well, I don't know if Springfield will ever make a dedicated competition shooter, but many of us, including me, who started comp shooting with the CZ Shadow 2 have moved to the Echelon, modified of course, for our comp shooter, and I'm loving it.

Well Glock has down sized their line up and I honestly I think (use toilet paper on this and put it in the toilet) S&W might have a few in the M&P lineup. Personally I’m not sure how the competition shooting is going but I’ll find out here in the future.

The Prodigy is competitive in the 2011-style space. The Echelon is competitive in the USPSA/IDPA space, both comped and non-comped.
