How is this for camouflage?

Meet Mr. Praying mantis up close:

Who says aliens from outer space aren’t here among us? I mean it is gray and has that funny shaped head. Next are 2 happy critters munching away on milk weed leaves. These are Monarch butterfly caterpillars that will soon form a chrysalis and eventually emerge to fly south:

The milk weed plant is toxic and so are they thus the birds leave them alone as well as the Monarch butterfly:

i have maybe once in my life, seen a brown mantis.

Monarch butterflies, here, i have not seen them in a few years now,

but we are getting PLENTY of spotted lantern flies this year.

Due to climate changes about ~30 years ago we never has scorpions in my area that now are plentiful . If the things would only stay outside then it wouldn't be so bad as the cats have something to play with! Between monarch and mantis we have some other squared winged butterflies i call Japanese style. They look cool with all the different color schemes. Nature is full of beauty, but im not a fan of the desert, but I'd be a fan of desert if there was 2 s's together for dessert

I had a black widow infestation about 10 years ago around our house. bad. have not seen one in probably 8 yrs now.

we have them here, leave a piece of wood on the ground overnight... you best check as you roll it over
but this year i had one in the truck carport in the metal rafter... i have never seen one in the roof areas of the carports, its way to scorching hot on the metal .. she died a few minutes later

BIFEN seems to work well at keeping them waaay out in the yard.

We have wolf spiders in our area. They're big, have eight eyes, and they're the stuff nightmares are made of. This guy was dead because his burrow was too close to my house.

Mrs. BassCliff has tomato plants in her raised beds in the back yard. We'll usually find a few tomato worms munching away. They're huge, as big as your finger, and can be quite destructive.

My Mom walked through her garden every morning picking them off the plants and dropping them in an empty soup can. Then smash the day's catch at the end. What a mess. I had some show up in my garden in Florida, but the birds would get most of them.
