Cultural Marxism’s Origins: How the Disciples of an Obscure Italian Linguist Subverted America

The underlying theory here is a variant of Marxism, pioneered by early-20th-century Italian Marxist politician and linguist Antonio Gramsci. Gramscian Marxism is a radical departure from Classical Marxism. One does not need to endorse the Classical Marxism of Marx, Engels, and others to appreciate the significant differences between the two. He is easily the most influential thinker that you have never heard of.

yes. comment from a thread on the subject:

American Marxists—hiding behind the term ‘progressive’ and for whom the liberal media runs cover—have gained more influence than ever before. Cloaking their goals under pretense of social and environmental justice, and using the $50-$100 trillion ‘Green New Deal’ as a vehicle, they seek to dismantle the foundations of the American republic by programming our youth; flooding the country with non-citizens; rewriting history; reintroducing racism; creating privileged classes; and determining what can be said in public discourse. Unless Marxist thought is defeated again, today’s cultural Marxists will achieve what the Soviet Union couldn’t: the subjugation of the United States to a totalitarian, soul-destroying ideology.
